
Ingredients
Shortbread always follows a 3-2-1 ratio of ingredients
- 6 oz plain flour (or 5oz flour + 1 oz oats)
- 4 oz butter
- 2 oz sugar
Method
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
- Combine with hands to form a ball
- Roll out to 1cm thick between two greaseproof sheets
- Use a cutter or knife to shape pieces and place on greaseproof paper on baking tray
- BAKE for 170C for 20-25 mins till golden
- Cool on wire rack
