There is an old family story that our family once had a famous brand toffee recipe. This is our family fudge recipe.

Ingredients
- 100g / 4 oz margarine / butter
- 400g / 14 oz sugar
- 2 dessertspoons Golden Syrup
- 6 large dessertspoons Condensed milk
Method
- Grease a square baking tin (7 or 9 inch square)
- Melt margarine in large pan over low heat
- Add sugar and syrup and bring to boil slowly
- Add condensed milk and boil to soft boil stage (when dropped in water forms a soft ball – or use toffee thermometer).
- Remove pan from heat and stir till stiff and creamy
- Pour into tin and cool.
- When cold cut into squares
