Holmes-made Shortbread

Ingredients

Shortbread always follows a 3-2-1 ratio of ingredients

  • 6 oz plain flour (or 5oz flour + 1 oz oats)
  • 4 oz butter
  • 2 oz sugar

Method

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
  • Combine with hands to form a ball
  • Roll out to 1cm thick between two greaseproof sheets
  • Use a cutter or knife to shape pieces and place on greaseproof paper on baking tray
  • BAKE for 170C for 20-25 mins till golden
  • Cool on wire rack
