A fun cheesy snack that you can make in 30 minutes on a rainy Sunday afternoon

Ingredients
- 4oz plain flour*
- 2 oz butter*
- *Or pack of pre bought Shortcrust pastry
- English mustard (wet or dry)
- dried cayenne pepper or paprika
- salt
- grated cheddar and.or parmesan
Method
- In a food processor (or by hand) rub fat into flour till mixture resembles breadcrumbs
- Slowly add water till a pastry dough is formed (if mixing by hand use a dinner knife to chop in and mix)
- Roll pastry between two greaseproof sheets to 0.5cm thick
- Cover half the area with mustard and salt (you can add other flavours like dried paprika/garlic/cayenne pepper)
- Cover the mustard side with a thin layer of grated cheddar
- Fold the pastry in half covering the cheese.
- Roll again to 0.5cm thick
- Cut into 1cm wide strips and twist and place on greaseproof paper on a flat tray
- Cover with extra cheese (grated parmesan)
- Bake for 20-25 mins at 170C till golden
